- Typically last for several months or longer
- Have potential to lead to full-time employment with the company
- Temporary-to-full-time assignments
- Typically intended to serve as a “working interview”
- After a designated period of time, qualified candidates who are a good fit with the firm may be taken on as full-time employees
- Per diem assignments
- Work on short notice, as much or as little as you desire
